My relationship with art has not been linear. After a long period of creative distance and self-denial, I picked up a pencil for the first time in 2025, and since then art has become both a personal and artistic process of rediscovery.
If you are anything like I once was, you may find yourself in a place that no longer feels aligned with the life you truly want. Part of my intention with this work is to offer a reminder that it is possible — at any point in life — to begin again and consciously create a life that feels meaningful and authentic.
For a long time, I believed the conventional path was the only one available. But I have come to realize that we are capable of following our own vision, imagining ways of living that have not yet been walked before, and shaping realities that reflect who we truly are. It is this process — understanding what no longer serves us in order to discover what does — that inspires my work.
I am drawn to the tension between contraction and expression, suppression and release. This movement between polarities exists throughout both human experience and the natural world, and much of my work attempts to explore that transition visually.
Without darkness, we could not recognize light. Without cold, we would not understand warmth. I am deeply inspired by the contrast and duality that exist within both nature and human existence — the idea that one experience gives meaning to another. This is why my work often explores intense contrasts, both emotionally and visually, as a way of reflecting the complexity of transformation, suffering, beauty, and growth.
At this stage in my practice, I am focused on developing a cohesive body of work that bridges technical craftsmanship with conceptual depth. My ambition is not only to evolve as an artist, but also to encourage others to believe that it is never too late to start again, release what no longer works, and move toward the life they truly want. If my work can offer even a small sense of recognition in that process, then it has fulfilled part of its purpose.
